Who am I and what do I do?

This practice is good as some of us (like me) can be prone to what some call (in the design world) scope creep. You start doing one thing and end up doing so many others, because you can.

So what is it I do exactly?

Well in simple terms two things, Photography and Website Design.

The photography has been an interest now for about 5 years and all started when I purchased a little Canon A75 compact digital camera. It just seemed to naturally progress from there. Photographic services vary from the commercial, portraits, weddings and events. A small sample can be viewed on the portfolio website here. A summary and more information can be found here.

The website design has also been a passion now for some time. Projects can be big or small and are a journey for the client and the designer and should be treated that way. Twitter tools and more

It seems to be popular or at least sound like you know what you’re talking about when it comes to the Internet you have to have to Twitter.

Twitter is without doubt a simple, ground breaking web app trend of the past six months. It has a practical, professional and personal place within the social media circles and is accessible to all with a mobile data or Internet connection of some kind. The interesting thing for me is how far the adaptation of web tools based on Twitter has come recently. Not sure what I’m talking about? well take a look at Smashing Magazine’s post on 99 essential Twitter tools and applications. You may be surprised!

TweetDeck

For me, this changed today when I stumbled upon TweetDeck. Utilising Adobe Air, it is a nice way to manage your Twitter service and comes with many integrate features. Looks the same in either Windows or Mac (thanks to Adobe) and is easy to navigate and use overall.

It also comes with Facebook integration. Still in Beta phase but really does not matter, it’s another top app.

Facebook: The new face of your identity

How far will it go, where will it end..? Does not matter really, what does matter is what happens to our personal information without us consciously knowing. When signing up for an account we probably don’t pay enough attention to those EULA’s as we should.

Have you ever wandered how they know which ads to discretely display on your home and profile pages… or why it is so easy for people to steal someone else’s identity? Maybe it is time to start thinking about it.
