For as long as I can remember, I have always searched for a better way to manage my online life. The search stopped recently when I discovered HootSuite!
HootSuite packs a punch. It lets you manage all your social media from the one window or dashboard. Including LinkedIn, Facebook and of course Twitter. URL shortening is taken care of by Ow.ly and incorporates the new Ow.ly toolbar with your shortened links.
The dashboard gives you the choice of a number of columns which you can customise and tabbed menus make it even easier to view your other social media streams individually. It also comes with a Hootlet toolbar for your browser, a Firefox toolbar addon and a sexy iPhone app. You can track stats, manage your Twitter lists as well as post to all your social media streams in just one click. Another handy feature is you can schedule Tweets (or status updates as I prefer). There is plenty more under the hood.
This apps ticks all the boxes and gets my vote as the number one Social Media manager!
