Zite for iPad

Not so long ago I added a post about Flipboard and how I think it is a great iPad app. I still think it is a terrific app, however another contender has now taken its place as the most used app on the iPad – Zite (www.zite.com).

Though both apps are very similar, Zite has a number of benefits and differences which have proved invaluable in managing my feeds and social interaction. Some of the features I like most are:

  • Ability to enjoy or not and ‘show me more’ of particular articles (liking/enjoying something means you will see more of that kind of article)
  • In post filtering
• Sharing options (Facebook, Twitter etc.)
  • Bookmarking integration with Delicious
  • Ability to save to Evernote, Read It Later and Instapaper
  • Overall appealing user interface
  • Top Stories start page

More recently Zite introduced profiles to the latest version. This is very handy of you share your iPad (with a spouse or partner) with another that also uses Zite. Referred to as Sybil.

Just as the slogan says - Zite is a personalized iPad magazine that gets smarter as you use it. It’s true!

Watch the video below for more or head on over to the Zite website.
